Sal Marullo, a composer, arranger, producer and performer of over forty original compositions, attended the Julliard School of Music from 1967 to 1969. In 1969, Sal signed with Action Talents a New York city talent agency, through which he performed as drummer and percussionist on a 32 state tour.

 
 

Subsequently, he gained invaluable experience at Mercury Records and Buddha Records as a studio musician. While there he aslo furthered his producing talents by co-producing fifteen master recordings.

In 1976 Sal signed with 20th Century Fox as a producer, performer and songwriter. Soon he released his first 45 rpm record entitled "Winter's Night".

 

Two years later, Sal established his own recording studio, Sunset Recording in Monterey, California. Sunset Recording has an impressive clientele over the past fifteen years. John Madden, Maury Povich, Murray Lender, Jackie Stewart, The Beach Boys', John Phillips and many others have trusted Sal's experience with their recordings. In fact, Sal performed as percussionist on the Beach Boys' CD entitled "Summer in Paradise".

 

Sal has performed in many popular lounges and night clubs in Las Vegas including the Sahara Casino and Caesar's Palace. The soundtrack on video cassette entitled "Video Birthday Card" featuring Leonard Maltin as narrator is one of Sal's original compositions. His first solo CD entitled "Midnight In New York" contains ten more Marullo compositions. Currently, Sal spends his time furthering interests in Luram Productions and it's Publishing Company, Luram music. Both companies were established in 1987 by Sal Marullo. Sal, as well as his companies are affiliated with ASCAP.
